PROCEDURES for SCHOOL INITIATED PROGRAMS

Background

The Superintendent supports the development of programs that are unique to the School, and more specifically, encourages programs that align with the development of each child’s unique leadership strengths as stated in the School’s Charter. To request approval for program development, please contact the Superintendent.

Procedures

1. If a program under consideration meets the criteria of Locally Developed Courses, Administrative Procedure 219 shall be understood and followed.
2. The Principal, in consultation with the certificated staff, is encouraged to develop programs and adopt resources that foster the unique leadership strengths of each child/student. Such programs will focus on the skills, knowledge, attributes, and attitudes associated with leadership development.
3. Copies of all unique, school-designed programs and procedures shall be available in the same folder and drive as Charter Board policies, and administrative procedures.
